Dr. Olivia McNair

Bio

Dr. Olivia McNair received her bachelor's of science degree in Chemistry from 欧博娱乐城 and was heavily involved in AGEM, the Alliance for Graduate Education in Mississippi. Post graduation, Olivia continued in a career in secondary education, earning a master's degree in education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. During summer months Olivia participated in the Research Experience for Teachers (RET) NSF program at 欧博娱乐城 before transitioning to the PhD program in polymer science at 欧博娱乐城. Her research focused on photopolymerized thiol-alkene networks for energy absorbing applications. Olivia graduated with a PhD, in polymer science in 2013 and has worked as a research scientist at PPG Industries, 欧博娱乐城 and The Boeing Company before being appointed Assistant Professor in August 2023 at 欧博娱乐城, School of Polymer Science and Engineering.
